Each year, the Colorado Bandmasters Association honors one outstanding member by electing them to the CBA Hall of Fame. This recognition celebrates educators whose exceptional dedication and vision have profoundly shaped Colorado’s music education landscape. These honorees have served as mentors, inspirations, and teachers to countless students and colleagues, leaving a legacy that strengthens our entire community. Through their commitment to excellence, they have elevated music education in Colorado, helping to guide and inspire future generations of musicians and educators.The CBA Hall of Fame is proudly housed in Frasier Hall within the music building at the University of Northern Colorado. This special space stands as a tribute to the incredible contributions of these distinguished members.

Requirements:

20 years minimum teaching experience, 15 in Colorado

In good standing with membership dues

Served the Colorado Bandmasters Association either through adjudication, committees, boards, or volunteer work at festivals, etc.

Realizing that some outstanding Colorado band educators may not meet those requirements, the Hall of Fame Committee (3 CBA presidents and Past Hall of Fame members selected by the board) may choose to present an award for significant contribution to CBA - so if you know someone that fits this, you’ll follow the same process.

Sponsor must be ready to submit a resume of the candidate and two letters of support that demonstrate excellence as a music educator.
